Dead Coyotes and Bugs!

Maverick says, "Starting out the day just outside Cajon Pass. Have about a 23 mile hike today and a 5000 foot climb in elevation. Desert life is not an easy one. I found this coyote right outside our tent somewhere around mile 330 in a waterless section."

"I wasn't able to get a good picture of this little guy but we have seen them throughout the desert. They look exactly like ants' except huge, with furry bodies and black furry legs. They are really bright and stand out on the trail."
